Tom denied any anti-Semitic material was used in the video. The remarks in question included jokes made at the expense of Ethan Klein (who is Jewish) and a 20-second skit about the USS Liberty, an American research ship accidentally attacked by Israeli forces in 1967. In November 2019, D'Angelo posted a tweet accusing YouTuber Turkey Tom of using anti-Semitic remarks/imagery in his video on YouTube sponsors, which attracted antisemitic comments from his audience. He has been critical of the action of some social media influencers during the COVID-19 pandemic, with his video Influencer-19, published on the 1st of February 2021, being highly critical of those who broke public health and safety restrictions enacted because of the pandemic. In April 2021, due to significant developments in the situation regarding James Charles and the beauty guru community, D'Angelo announced on Twitter that he would be deleting the three documentaries out of a sense of maintaining journalistic integrity, stating that while he "went off every piece of information available at the time," nobody could have forseen the new details that would eventually arisen. Now, he has a total of 3.28 million subscribers across his two channels. Following his video on Dawson (the first video on the subject), Wallace's subscriber count went from 630,000 to 1 million. Wallace's criticism of Charles and Star's role in the controversy, known as Dramageddon, was praised for its extensive documentation of facts and evidence, and shaped "how millions of YouTube fans now view the three beauty gurus and their drama". In July 2020, Wallace was "one of the loudest voices holding accountable for their past behavior" and produced videos – first on Star, then Dawson – deconstructing the role each played in the controversy between beauty gurus James Charles and Tati Westbrook. The film had been the subject of a broader right-wing "culture wars" controversy in the United States. His first video to be featured on YouTube's "Trending" tab was a critique of Cuties, a film which he claimed encouraged child exploitation. One of his notable earlier videos included a discussion over the YouTube channel "Spill", a channel which discussed YouTube drama, and as to whether it was run by an individual or a (the channel later said it was run by a corporation).
